The Society, to encourage interest in military research, has instituted an Essay Competition for University Undergraduates and Sixth Formers for which there is a winner's prize of £300 (GBP) and £100 (GBP) for the runner up, along with Certificates.

The deadline for the 2011 competition has now passed, and the many excellent entries are now being assesed. Winners and Runner ups will be announced in due course.
