Sir Barney White-Spunner to be the next President of SAHR.

The Society for Army Historical Research is delighted to announce that Lt. Gen. Sir Barney White-Spunner has agreed to take over from Field Marshall Sir John Chappell as President of SAHR.

In addition to his long and illustrious military career which has seen him deployed in Bosnia, Macedonia and Iraq, Sir Barney White-Spunner is also an accomplished writer and commentator, and is the author of Horse Guards. The first major history of the Household Cavalry, Horse Guards charts its creation at the beginning of Charles II's restoration right up to the current day.
